ANTINOISE STARTING FLYWHEEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antinoise starter flywheel that can reduce the output level of high output noise emitted from the flywheel 1 at a start-up of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: An outer circumferential end 5 of a support 3 has a radial expansion surface 8. An inner circumferential end 6 of a ring gear 4 has a corresponding radial expansion surface 10 corresponding to the radial expansion surface 8 of the support 3. An element 14 of viscoelastic material is arranged between the radial expansion surface 8 and the corresponding radial expansion surface 10 and is maintained in a radially and axially compressed state in the arrangement position to reduce a transmission output level of solid- transmitted noise transmitted from the ring gear 4 to the support 3 and to an internal combustion engine body.
