PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of confirming an working position of an element conveyor for a handler capable of accurately, quickly and automatically confirming the specification of a replacement kit and the working position of the element conveyor in accordance with the kind of a semiconductor element. SOLUTION: This method comprises a first stage for fixing an image input device to the element conveyor and allowing the element conveyor to acquire the information necessary for a tray from an upper side of the tray, a second stage for conveying the element conveyor to each replacement kit, acquiring the image information of an identification tag attached to each replacement kit, and acquiring an original point of the replacement kit, a third stage for judging whether the kinds of the semiconductor element and the replacement kit are agreed with each other or not by comparing the kind of the semiconductor element inputted to a control unit of the handler with the information on the identification tag, and a fourth stage for calculating an working position of the element conveyor on the basis of the image information obtained by the processing of the first, second and third stages.
