PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding piece capable of preventing rolling elements from skewing relative to one another, reducing the noise, enhancing the operating performance in actuation, keeping a lubricant in the piece, enhancing the lubricating performance, and establishing a long lifetime. SOLUTION: The holding piece 11 to hold a plurality of rolling elements 6 to be set in a rolling groove of a ball screw, linear guide, etc., is composed of a body part 12 to enwrap the rolling elements 6 individually allowing rolling and convex curved surface parts 15 formed at the two ends in the extending direction of the rolling groove in the body part 12 and put in the condition contacting with or apart from the body part 12 adjacent in the longitudinal direction of the rolling groove, wherein the convex curved surface parts 15 assumes a pseudo curved surface shape capable of easily striding over a discontinuity step part existing on the path.
