PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin latch type handle capable of releasing the engaged state of a latch member merely by lightly inserting a finger therein and having a lock. SOLUTION: This latch type handle comprises a case 51 and 54, a unit lock 52 fixed to the inside of the case, and a sliding member 55 sliding inside the case. The sliding member comprises a pair of latch members 55c having latch projected parts 55c' and disposed parallel with and apart from each other, a connection part 55d for connecting the pair of latch members to each other, a lock contact part 55b allowed to abut on the lock bolt 52a of the unit lock to limit the sliding of the sliding member, and a finger contact part 56 allowing a finger to abut thereon to slide the sliding member by pressing which are formed integrally with each other. The sliding member also comprises a cutout part 55a so that the sliding of the sliding member is not limited by the contact of those parts other than the lock contact part with the unit lock.
