PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dyeing a monofilament by which the visibility of the monofilament is sufficiently improved by a simple treatment while keeping various excellent characteristics of the PVDF-based monofilament, and to provide an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: This dyeing apparatus 100 has a dye bath 4, a drying oven 70, a first water-washing bath 5 and a second water-washing bath 6 installed in series between a delivery machine 2 for delivering the wound PVDF-based monofilament 10 at a constant line speed, and a winder 3. The monofilament 10 delivered from the delivery machine 2 passes through a dyeing agent S obtained by adding a cationic dye to a mixed solvent of DMF/acetone in the dye bath 4, and dried by hot air while passing the dyed monofilament through a duct 72 in the drying oven 70. The dried monofilament 10 is washed with water, and wound on the winder 3 as a colored monofilament 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
