<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting means, an air flow changing means, and a control means in an air conditioner in a more concrete and actual form to accelerate practical use. <P>SOLUTION: This air conditioner is equipped with the detecting means 51, the air flow changing means 52, and the control means 52, and the detecting means 51 is constituted with a infrared sensor 15, and arranged in an indoor exposed portion of an indoor panel 2. A visual field of the infrared sensor 15 is sufficiently insured, temperature of a skeleton is accurately detected, control accuracy to the air flow changing means 52 based on detected information is enhanced, and comfortableness and energy saving in air conditioning are accelerated.
