PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material less liable to fog in long-term storage while ensuring high image quality and excellent in stability of a silver image after heat development. SOLUTION: In the silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material having a photosensitive layer comprising a photosensitive emulsion comprising at least non-photosensitive silver aliphatic-carboxylate grains and photosensitive silver halide grains, a reducing agent for a silver ion, a binder and a crosslinking agent, the non-photosensitive silver aliphatic-carboxylate grains are non-photosensitive silver aliphatic-carboxylate grains crushed to 2-10 mm grain diameter in a drying step in a process for producing the grains.
