The tank has a vented tank casing (1) resting on feet (2) mounted on a base (12). The casing has a skirt (3) and a cover (5) forming an enclosed space filled with an inert gas. The tank can be spherical with the casing formed by a cylindrical skirt (3) enclosing the reservoir and the feet and engaging on the base. The skirt is covered by an annular rim (4) receiving a domed cover with reinforcing ribs (51) having tiles. The top of the cover has an annular cap (6) engaged by the ribs of the cover.
