<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operating efficiency of a hot-stamping process by eliminating a joint in a discontinuous plane of an elastic member layer and enhance the ease of an operation to attach a work to and detach it from a mandrel. <P>SOLUTION: The mandrel 11 for hot stamping is structured of a jointless elastic member layer 17 of a specified thickness (2 mm) formed on the outer periphery of a cylindrical core 15 and an adhesive layer 19 of a specified thickness (20 to 30% of the outside diameter of a glass ball 21) formed on the outer periphery of the elastic member layer 17 and a lubrication layer with lubricity formed by adhesively applying glass balls 21 to the outer periphery of the elastic member layer 17 through the adhesive layer 19. In addition, the mandrel 11 is used for the purpose of precisely hot-stamping the outer periphery of a work 100 by forming a second adhesive layer 23 in a gap between the glass balls 21, etc., for reinforcing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
