PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To nicely cast a cylinder block having high precision by effectively preventing damage of a sand core at the casting time. SOLUTION: A supporting structure 10 is provided with the first and the second supporting parts 26, 28. This first supporting part 26 is provided with an engaging hole 46 formed at a foot part 38 in the sand core 34 and a pin member 48 fitted to this engaging hole 46. The head part 52 of the pin member 48 is brought into contact with three points in a recessed part 54 and supported by housing the head part into the recessed part 54 in a movable mold 18.
