PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorptive article allowing to easily know the time when the excreta reaches the peripheral edge part from the outside, be efficiently used immediately before leakage occurs, and be changed before leakage occurs. SOLUTION: This absorptive article is formed by a liquid permeable surface sheet, a liquid impermeable back sheet and an absorbent disposed between both sheets, and a means for detecting the excreta is disposed at least in a part of the peripheral edge part of the inside of the back sheet.
