PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finger structure for guiding a metal band facilitating replacement of a finger used in a side trimmer or the like and particularly capable of replacing a defective plate receiving part even when it is partway in a slitter. SOLUTION: In the finger structure such as a plate holding device 2 guiding the metal band 1 to the side trimmer shearing both ends of the metal band or a slitter device shearing the metal band into a plurality of thin bands and vertically constraining the metal band 1 during shearing, a base part 20 and a plate receiving part 10 can be detached, and a nonwoven fabric 14 is adhered to a flat plate 11 top face of the plate receiving part 10. In an attachment and detachment structure for the base part 20 and the plate receiving part 10, the base part 20 is fit and fixed on a base column part 40 which can be adjusted in a metal band width direction, and a recessed cutout part 13 is formed on a reinforcing piece 12 of the plate receiving part in correspondence to a shaft body 26 of a bearing erecting piece 24 in front of a base part supporting base and an angle adjusting spindle part shaft body 36 in rear of the base part.
