<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for concentrating a brine that controls the energy consumption for heating the diluted brine, that reduces the expansion of cooling load by the brine returning to the brine tank after the brine is concentrated, that lengthens the product life of the structure components of the concentration apparatus by preventing the corrosion with the brine of salt such as calcium chloride and that suppresses the energy consumption to increase the heat exchange rate by the direct heat exchange of dual fluids in which the heat exchange of going and returning cool/hot brines is continuous and to provide a brine concentration apparatus therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The brine concentration apparatus is composed of a brine heating machine 21 to heat the brine 2 that is diluted by absorbing the moisture to a low temperature of 0°C or more when the brine is used, a moisture separation machine 22 to separate the moisture in contact with a reverse osmosis membrane 22a from the brine 2 heated by the brine heating machine 21 provided with the reverse osmosis membrane 22a therein and a pump 28 for the concentration apparatus that creates the predetermined pressure to generate the reverse osmotic pressure by the moisture separation machine 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
