FLOCCULATION/CONCENTRATION APPARATUS FOR FINE PARTICLES AND FLOCCULATION/CONCENTRATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flocculation/concentration apparatus for fine particles not requiring the arrangement of a larger device and capable of being subjected to long-term continuous operation without depositing sludge in a floc forming tank, and a flocculation/concentration method using the same. SOLUTION: In the flocculation/concentration apparatus comprising a double pipe for passing a liquid containing fine particles different in potential through inner and outer pipes to form flocs, a mixing treatment part constituted of a pipe for the liquid to be treated brought into contact with the liquid to be treated flowing through the double pipe on the downstream side of the double pipe to further form flocs and a solid liquid separation part for separating the mixed liquid formed in the mixing treatment part into floc-containing sludge and a clarified liquid, the flock forming tank equipped with a dispersion/ discharge means having stirring blades also used as a bottom valve and preventing the floc-containing sludge from becoming lumps is provided to the solid-liquid separation part.
