PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of reliably backing up a sub- control board even in the case of delaying and transmitting a backup request from a main control board. SOLUTION: The game machine capable of performing a prescribed game is provided with a main control board for carrying out game control, a sub- control board for carrying out performance control, and a power interruption discrimination means for discriminating the occurrence of power interruption. The main control board transmits the backup request to the sub-control board after the lapse of a prescribed delaying time accompanying the occurrence of power interruption. The sub-control board backs up the performance state by receiving the backup request transmitted from the main control board. Furthermore, driving voltage for driving the main control board is held at least until the prescribed delaying time passes so as to make the main control board operable. Furthermore, the main control board discriminates whether to initialize the backed up game state when supplying power and transmits an initialization command to the sub-control board in the case of initializing it.
