PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pretreatment method and apparatus of waste plastics which sufficiently removes foreign substances in material-recycling the waste plastics. SOLUTION: The pretreatment method of waste plastics for material-recycling the waste plastics is characterized in that plastics to be recycled are fractionated from the waste plastics, the fractionated plastics are heated and the molten fractionated waste plastics are filtered to remove foreign substances. In the fractionation process of waste plastics by gravity difference using a liquid medium the plastics to be recycled are fractionated from the waste plastics and are washed for more effective material recycling.
