PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a odd-shaped copper bar for a commutator piece capable of efficiently and inexpensively manufacturing a dissimilar copper bar for a commutator piece. SOLUTION: A base material 11 is continuously extruded from a copper wire by the friction thrust using a rotary wheel 4. Since the shape of the base material 11 by the conform extrusion is close to a final shape, the number of subsequent cooling steps can be minimized, and the odd-shaped copper bar for the commutator piece is efficiently and inexpensively manufactured.
