PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To upgrade a small hit condition to a jackpot condition in a game machine. SOLUTION: When a special pattern is finally displayed (S301: YES) and a jackpot flag is set at '1' (S302: YES), a jackpot process is executed for opening a big winning hole 32 (S303) and various flags are reset (S304). When the jackpot flag is not set at '1' (S302: NO) while a small hit flag is set at '1' (S305: YES), a conversion chance process is executed (S307). If a conversion condition is satisfied in the conversion chance process, a conversion flag is set at '1'. When the conversion flag is set at '1' (S307: YES) after the conversion chance process is executed, the jackpot flag is set at '1' (S308), and processes S303 and S304 are executed.
