PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope which is light and which can be used as a fiberscope having good operability as well as the endoscope which has an imaging unit and which can maintain good operability. SOLUTION: An image guide fiber 19 inserted into an inserting part 2 is bent at a disc-like fiber guide 31 in an operating unit 3, fixed removably by a screw 63 to a cutout part 62 of a grasping part frame 60 in a grasping part 11, removably fixed to one end of the imaging unit 33 assembled with a CCD 35, and allowed to be used as an electronic endoscope. A video switch unit 13 mounted removably at a rear end of the operating unit 3 is removed, the unit 33 is removed, a rear end side of the fiber 19 fixed to one end of the unit 33 is extended to a rear end side of the operating unit, fixed, an eyepiece unit is mounted, and hence can be used as the fiberscope for enlarging and observing an optical image transmitted via an eyepiece to a rear end face of the fiber 19.
