PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably obtain a large-size ceramic honeycomb structure free from deformation and high in dimensional precision. SOLUTION: In a method for producing the ceramic honeycomb structure, in a method for extrusion-molding a ceramic molding extruded downward from an extrusion molding machine through a nozzle, the extrusion speed of the ceramic molding is adjusted at 1-100 mm/s, or a load of 90-110% of the mass of the ceramic molding extruded from the nozzle of the extrusion molding machine is applied upward on a support means holding the extruded ceramic molding.
