PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight panel body for greening, capable of exerting water retainability, excellent in load bearing characteristics, and extremely easy to be laid, and to provide a greening method using the panel body. SOLUTION: The panel body for greening is laid below a culture medium 7 where plants 12 are planted when greening a specific part, and comprises plural granular carbides 3 and cement 4, wherein the carbides 3 are coupled to one another with the cement 4 to be formed into a porous state.
