PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can normally discharge ink even when ink of any characteristics is used. SOLUTION: A head position H stored in a ROM 104 of an ink container 44K is electrically read by an ink tank ROM content detecting part 115. The read head position H is sent to a CPU 103.
