<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathtub capable of stably keeping the water-tightness in a bathtub body 1 over a long period of time, obtaining reliable water-tightness with small operating force, and reducing the burden of a bathing assisting person. <P>SOLUTION: In this bathtub, an inlet/outlet 2 is provided on the side of the bathtub body 1, and a door 3 is fitted to the inlet/outlet 2. A packing material 4 is provided on the peripheral edge part of one of the door 3 and the inlet/outlet 2, and a receiving part 20 for the packing material 4 is formed in the peripheral edge part of the other thereof. The door 3 is capable of moving in the vertical direction, and rocking in the horizontal direction over a range from the closing position of the inlet/outlet 2 and an outer open position in the upper moving position. At the closing position of the inlet/outlet 2, the door is moved downward, and in the lower position, the packing material 4 is brought into close contact with the receiving part 20 to keep the water- tightness of the bathtub body 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
