PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for decomposing treatment of garbage which decomposes using microorganisms in a short time, hardly leaks malodor to an environment, requires a small area for installation due to its compactness. SOLUTION: At the upper part of the apparatus main body 10 having airtightness, a charging opening 12 for the garbage is installed, and an opening and closing cover 13 is attached to obtain airtightness in closing. The apparatus main body 10 houses a decomposing chamber R, of which the bottom is formed by a semi-cylindrical wall in a U-shaped cross section as a side view, and which is charged with a porous microorganism impregnant pre-impregnated by the microorganisms decomposing the garbage. The decomposing chamber R is provided with an agitation blade 30 rotating at the center of a rotating axis 31 horizontally axial-suspended at the center part of the semi-cylindrical wall. At one part of the decomposing chamber R a discharge opening 21 is installed, and an opening and closing cover 22 is attached in to obtain airtightness in closing. An air introducing means 52 is provided introducing outside air to the decomposing chamber R and an exhaust means 61 for exhausting gas generated in the decomposing chamber R. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
