PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of smoothly performing image diagnosis and medicine activation treatment. SOLUTION: In addition to a transmitting/receiving part 32 for diagnosis for transmitting/receiving the ultrasonic waves of low output for image formation, a transmitting part 40 for treatment is provided for radiating the ultrasonic waves of a high energy density for medicine activation. A vibrator provided on the distal end of a catheter-like ultrasonic probe 10 is driven and controlled respectively by the transmitting/receiving part 32 for diagnosis in the case of diagnosis and by the transmitting part 40 for treatment in the case of treatment. The ultrasonic probe 10 is inserted into the body of a patient via the forceps channel of an endoscope. A diseased part is specified by ultrasonic image diagnosis and the ultrasonic waves of high power for medicine activation are radiated from the ultrasonic probe 10 to the diseased part.
