PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing at a high speed a thermoplastic resin film excellent in a balance of physical properties between MD and TD, in regard to the manufacture of the thermoplastic resin film wherein a molten film extruded from a lip of a T-die is taken off onto a chill roll, with the air between the film and the roll sucked, and is cooled to be solidified. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the thermoplastic resin film wherein the molten film extruded from the lip of the T-die is taken off onto the chill roll, with the air between the film and the roll sucked, and is cooled to be solidified, the speed of manufacture of the film is 150-1,000 m/min and the temperature gradient of MD of the film at a contact of the chill roll is 0.1-2.5°C/mm.
