PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prosthetic implant for fusing adjacent vertebrae and an insertion instrument to be used for inserting the prosthetic implant. SOLUTION: The prosthetic implant 1 to be inserted for fusing the bones of the adjacent vertebrae is provided with a housing 10, an inserting hole 11 for the insertion instrument formed at one end of the housing 10 and a connection recess 12 for the insertion instrument formed on the inner surface of the housing 10 around the inserting hole 11 for the insertion instrument.
