METALLIC TUBE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a metallic tube 7 which is easily manufactured and excellent in the accuracy of end faces in the axial direction. SOLUTION: A metallic plate 1 is sheared into a square metallic base stock 2 by shearing (shearing stage A). Slopes 5 inclined so as to be approached to and separated from each other are formed on the end faces on four sides of this metallic base stock 2 (sloping stage B). This metallic base stock 2 is rounded into a cylindrical shape by taking the sides where slopes 5 approach to each other as the inside in the radial direction (bending stage C-F).
