PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method by which the appearance finish equal to that of a coating film formed by the conventional≥2 bake coating is attained in a≥3 coat coating film though the number of baking processes is reduced and the coating film keeps impact resistance, weather resistance, corrosion resistance, and the like. SOLUTION: In the coating method for depositing the coating film composed of a primer layer, a color layer and a clear layer on a workpiece composed of an aluminum material or an aluminum alloy material, a coating process performed in each layer of the coating film and one baking process are provided and a preliminary heating process for drying at 20-120°C for 1-30 min is performed after each coating process and before the baking process.
