<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a maloperation caused by an increase in viscosity of a tank solution in decomposing and treating an organic substance with a microorganism in a treating tank. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of treating the organic substance where an introduced organic substance in a mixed condition with water is sequentially moved to a plurality of treating tanks 1 to 3 as treatments advance, and the introduced organic substance is decomposed and treated with the microorganism in the water in each of these treating tanks 1 to 3, the ratio of treating tank number of a treating tank which is allowed to function as an anaerobic treating tank to a treating tank which is allowed to function as an aerobic tank is changed according to an introduced quantity of the organic substance to be treated by a shifting system for changing the treating tank to the anaerobic treating tank where an anaerobic decomposition and treatment is performed on the organic substance in the tank solution or to the aerobic treating tank where an aerobic decomposition and treatment is performed on the organic substance in the tank solution by changing an oxygen feeding quantity to the tank solution which is a mixture of the introduced organic substance and the water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
