PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable wash and rinse without damaging laundry which is normally easily damaged and to reduce the cost by using the same tub for spin-drying, simplifying the structure and reducing the number of parts for a washing machine which can wash, drain and spin-dry by rotating its inner tub. SOLUTION: An inner tub 19 having roughly a cylinder shape with a bottom is contained, rotatably, in an outer tub 27 which is water-sealed with a buffer member 39. A coupling 32 is fixed on the lower surface of the bottom of the inner tub 19 and to be connected to a motor 35. A roughly disk-shaped stirring base 25 is rotatably fixed on the bottom of the inner tub 19. A roughly cylinder- shaped agitating bar body 24 is inserted in the center of the stirring base 25. The stirring base 25 is screw-jointed with the upper inner wall of the agitating bar body 24. A control ring 23 holding a agitator body 22 rotatably on its center is fixed. Two or more inward stirring ribs 50 are formed on the lower part of the agitator body 24 and a stirring fin 21 is formed on the upper outer circumference. A space between the lower part of the agitator body 22 and the agitating bar body 24 is filled with a highly viscous buffer liquid 48. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
