PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystallization and dephosphorization method in which reaction in a crystallization vessel is smoothly carried out by suppressing the deposition of calcium carbonate responding to the flow rate of the wastewater containing phosphorus to be introduced into the crystallization vessel, and also to provide an apparatus using the same. SOLUTION: This method comprises the steps of introducing the wastewater containing phosphorus into the crystallization vessel 1, and adding a calcium compound and/or an alkaline agent; forming the fluidized bed 1a of a crystal seed containing calcium phosphate, and contacting phosphorus in the wastewater with the crystal seed at the same time; and separating phosphorus in the wastewater as calcium phosphate. The amount of the calcium compound and/or the alkaline chemicals to be poured to the crystallization vessel 1 is feedforwardly controlled in accordance with the flow rate of the wastewater into the crystallization vessel 1.
