PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that scale is formed on a cation exchange membrane in a cathode chamber in a conventional electric demineralizer where electrically-conductive particles are filled in the cathode chamber of the electric demineralizer to inhibit scale formation. SOLUTION: In the cathode chamber comprising the cation exchange membrane and the cathode, the electrode side and the cation exchange membrane side are respectively filled with an electronic conductor and a cation exchange that can conduct cations.
