PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for opening/closing a cover of a tab in a wood crusher which quickly performs the opening and closing of the cover on charging wood into the tab. SOLUTION: This device for opening/closing the cover of the tab in the wood crusher is provided with a mechanism which moves the cover 12 in a radial direction in addition to a mechanism which rotatably opens and closes the cover 12. When the wood is charged into the tab 7, the cover 12 is opened by transverse movement and, after the wood is charged, the cover 12 is returned to the original position by transverse movement.
