<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross flow type column, packed with an adsorbent and provided with louvers, which can be stably operated over a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: This cross flow type column is packed with an adsorbent for removing harmful components contained in exhaust gas, includes six louvers 9a to 9l constituting an area in contact with exhaust gas, and causes exhaust gas to be introduced or discharged through louver openings 10.
