LCD PANEL AND LCD WITH THE PANEL

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display panel and a liquid crystal display device having the same are provided to fabricate more color filter substrates on a same-sized parent substrate by joining a thin film transistor array substrate with a color filter substrate to be respectively protruded outward at opposite sides. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes an LCD panel and a blacklight assembly. The LCD panel includes first and second substrates(301,302) joined together, wherein the first one is protruded outward more than the second one at a side and the second one is protruded more than the first one at the other side. The protruded areas of the substrates are deposited with a light leakage preventing film(303) or coated with a black matrix. The blacklight assembly includes a main supporting die(407) for supporting the protruded areas of the substrates and a top case(408) attached to the main supporting die for pressing and fixing edges of a top surface of the LCD panel.
