PURPOSE: A method for driving a driver IC of a twisted nematic thin film transistor liquid crystal display is provided to improve low response speed to a falling time by maximizing force of restitution of liquid crystal. CONSTITUTION: White voltage is applied to a saturated area of a driver IC(Integrated Circuit) to maximize force of restitution of liquid crystal by a formula V_white = Vcom + ΔVp ± α(ΔVp/8 <= α <= ΔVp). Gamma reference voltage is applied to a non-saturated area to prevent white gray saturation. The gamma reference voltage is voltage corresponding to 98-99% of transmissivity on a voltage to time curve.
