PURPOSE: A home network device, a home network control device, and a method for downloading media data of a home network are provided to add an xml(extensible markup language) specification in which contents with respect to a position of the media data are described, to an xml specification of a conventional home network, and receive the media data between home network devices. CONSTITUTION: An API interface unit(30) receives a request message of corresponding media data from a UPnP(Universal Plug and Play) control device. A media parser unit(31) parses the received request message, and grasps a position in which the corresponding media data are stored. A media URL(Uniform Resource Locator) generating unit(32) generates a ULR to indicate the position in which the corresponding media data are stored. A media data storing unit(33) stores the corresponding media data. A microcomputer(34) controls the API interface unit(30), the media parser unit(31), the media URL generating unit(32), and the media data storing unit(33).
