PURPOSE: A data transmission system and a method for transmitting data using the same are provided to allow a base station to transfer a high speed packet data to a forward link by designing a stable and extensible inter-chip data transmission bus structure for collecting information of terminals required for scheduling. CONSTITUTION: First and second baseband signal processors with one side connected to a data bus for transmitting and receiving data and the other side connected to a strobe signal(Strobe_n) line restore state information of plural packet data channels(CH#0,CH#1,CH#P,CH#0) transmitted from plural terminals. When it reaches a pre-set time slot, the baseband signal processors sequentially occupy the data bus and sequentially transmit the restored data and the strobe signal received from each terminal to a bi-directional transmitter according to a system clock(sys_clk). The bi-directional transmitter transmits data of each baseband signal processor to a scheduler.
