PURPOSE: A duplication information transferring method in an MPLS(Multi-Protocol Label Switching) system is provided to transfer duplication information of a switching controller to an operation and maintenance by carrying the information on an adjacency message processor and through a GSMP(General Switch Management Protocol) slave. CONSTITUTION: A GSMP master receives duplication information of a switch controller through a system call using a primitive provided by an EROS(Enhanced Realtime Operating System)(S41). The GSMP master carries the duplication information in four bits of a partition ID field of an adjacency message provided by a GSMP and periodically transfers it to a GSMP slave(S42). The GSMP slave extracts the duplication information from the ID field of the adjacent message and sends it to an operation and maintenance processor(S43). The operation and maintenance processor stores the duplication information in a database or outputs it to a user(S44).
