PURPOSE: A coating solution and a coating film using the solution are provided, wherein the solution has an excellent oxygen/steam blocking property and is environmental-friendly and is free from the deterioration of the blocking property according to the humidity. CONSTITUTION: The coating solution comprises 100 parts by weight of a solid part comprising 70-99.9 wt% of poly(vinyl alcohol) having a degree of saponification of 50-99 mol% and a degree of polymerization of 100-5,000, and 0.1-30 wt% of clay having a diameter of 10¬-2 to 10¬4 nm; and 100-1,900 parts by weight of a solvent. Preferably the clay is at least one selected from the group consisting of kaolinite, illite (clay-mica), smectite and chlorite; and the solvent is at least one selected from the group consisting of water, ethyl alcohol, o-chlorophenol, ethylene glycol, dimethyl sulfoxide and phenol. |
