<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform the connection of a branch pipe in a short time without replacing a cutting means with a butterfly valve. SOLUTION: This connecting method comprises mounting a facing body 3 on an existing pipe 2, forming a branch port on the existing pipe 2 by a cutting means 4 provided on the facing body 3, and connecting a branch pipe to a valve device 6 for opening and closing the branch port. In this case, a cutting edge 13 is inserted to the existing pipe 2, and the cutting means 4 is moved with the insert position as the start point, whereby a cut hole is annularly formed with leaving a part, and a cut piece B surrounded by the cut hole is taken out to form a branch port. After the formation of the branch port, the facing body 3 is rotated in the circumferential direction of the existing pipe 2 so that the valve device 6 is conformed to the branch port, and the branch pipe is connected to the valve device 6.</p> |
