PURPOSE: An image sensor is provided to prevent charges from being injected into a data line according to gate voltage when the image sensor is operated. CONSTITUTION: An image sensor(100) has a pixel array formed on an insulating substrate. The pixel array includes a plurality of gate lines(108) formed on the insulating substrate in the horizontal direction, a plurality of data lines(118) formed on the insulating substrate, intersecting the gate lines, and a plurality of switches(110) each of which is formed at each of intersections of the gate lines and data lines. One end of the switches is connected to the data lines. The switches are turned on when the first voltage is applied to a corresponding gate line. The pixel array further includes a plurality of capacitors(112), and ion injection compensation line(106a,106b). One end of the capacitors is connected to the other end of the switches and the other end of the capacitors is connected to a common electrode(116). The ion injection compensation lines are formed on portions of the insulating substrate surrounding the pixel array in parallel with the gate lines. The second voltage having the polarity opposite to the polarity of the first voltage is applied to the ion injection compensation lines.
