PURPOSE: An agitation apparatus is provided to agitate and crush even relatively hard contents and fermentation agents, thereby allowing sufficiently fermented food wastes to be recycled into high quality compost. CONSTITUTION: The agitation apparatus comprises an agitating container(10), lower and upper crushing blades(20,30) mounted to a rotating shaft(60) centrally located at the lower portion of the agitating container, and spiral outer and inner screws(40,50) coupled to the ends of the lower and upper crushing blades, respectively. The lower and upper crushing blades drive in opposite directions to each other to crush and agitate contents received in the container.
