PURPOSE: An integrated memory of a digital TV is provided to utilize an idle space of a memory for a decoder of the digital TV as a memory for a CPU. CONSTITUTION: An integrated memory device of a digital TV includes an MPEG-2 decoder(23), an SDRAM(24), a CPU(25), and transfer gates(27A,27B). The MPEG-2 decoder receives a digital transport stream output through a tuner(21) and a VSB channel demodulator(22) to perform MPEG-2 decoding. The SDRAM stores data required for the MPEG-2 decoder to carrying the decoding operation and stores data for the CPU in an idle space. The CPU reads OS and application code data from a flash memory(26) to store the OS and application code data in the SDRAM to initiate a system, and controls the operations of the MPEG-2 decoder and the tuner. The transfer gates control data transmission among the SDRAM, CPU and MPEG-2 decoder under the control of the CPU.
