PURPOSE: An apparatus for certifying an ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) path in a mobile communication system is provided to enhance the stability of the ATM path by installing attenuators in transmission ports of an ATM router or reception ports of system boards. CONSTITUTION: An ATM router(103) has a plurality of transmission ports, and transmits processed information to optical cables(100) connected to the transmission ports. Attenuators(107) connect to the optical cables(100) and reception ports of system boards(105), and synchronize the ATM router(103) and the system boards(105). The attenuators(107) receive signals outputted from the ATM router(103), attenuate the received signals at a level for which the system boards(105) wish, and output the attenuated signals to the system boards(105).
