PURPOSE: An automatic shift method for parking vehicles is provided to shift vehicles in a mechanical parking lot continuously. CONSTITUTION: The automatic shift method for parking vehicles comprises the steps of: moving a main frame(1) and a reciprocating frame(2) to a parking zone(27) by a movable geared motor(6); taking a forked foot(5) to the outside of the main frame(1) by operating a rack gear(9) by a pinion gear fixed to a shift rotary shaft(7) by a feed geared motor(17); reciprocating a reciprocating frame(2) by a reciprocating geared motor(11), ascending the forked foot(5) up to the parking zone(27) and lifting up a vehicle simultaneously; moving the main frame(1) and the reciprocating frame(2) by the movable geared motor(6) at the state of lifting up the parked vehicle, then moving into the feeding site; setting the parked vehicle down on the parking zone(27) and descending the forked foot(5); placing the forked foot(5) into the main frame(1); restoring the main frame(1) and the reciprocating frame(2) to the original site, then waiting for the next movement order.
