PURPOSE: An assembly method of a heat exchanger is provided to improve productivity by reducing man-hours. CONSTITUTION: Platy radiating fins(2) are arranged on a U-shaped pipe(4) of tubes arranged in a double line at regular intervals. Holder plates(3,3') are fixed on both of outer sides of the radiating fins to support the tubes. Expanded tube part is formed on an end of the U-shaped pipe, and is connected with the expanded tube part of the neighboring U-shaped pipe through a return band(5). A joint pipe(6) is connected to an uppermost end of the tube to allow refrigerant to flow in and out. The radiating fins are inserted to the U-shaped pipe of the tube. The holder plates are joined to both of the sides of the radiating fins. The return band is joined to the expanded tube part formed on the end of the U-shaped pipe and the expanded tube part of the neighboring U-shaped pipe. The joint pipe is joined to the uppermost side of the U-shaped pipe. The joined part is submerged under molten zinc(8) to simultaneously join the return band and the joint pipe. |
