APPARATUS FOR CONSTANTLY MAINTAINING DIAMETER OF BEAM IN LASER SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An apparatus for constantly maintaining the diameter of beam is provided to prevent shafts from coming into collision with each other and to prevent the diameter of a ball screw from being enlarged. CONSTITUTION: A pair of large-diameter pulleys(21) is rotatably installed at one side of a bed. A first driving belt wound around the large-diameter pulleys(21) is connected to a gantry. A pair of small-diameter pulleys is coaxially installed with the large-diameter pulleys(21). The diameter ratio of the large-diameter pulleys(21) to the small-diameter pulleys is about 2:1. A second driving belt is wound around the large-diameter pulleys(21). The second driving belt is connected to a body(14) in such a manner that the body(14) is moved by a predetermined distance corresponding to a half of a moving distance of the gantry.
