NEW ANSAMYCIN-BASED COMPOUND SEPARATED FROM STREPTOMYCES 91614 AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method of preparing an ansamycin-based derivative and the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof from Streptomyces sp. 91614 is provided. A nitric oxide formation inhibitor containing the ansamycin-based derivative and a pharmaceutically salt as an active ingredient inhibits nitric oxide formation without cytotoxicity and is thus effectively used in treatment of inflammation-related diseases, neurodegenerative diseases and autoimmune diseases. CONSTITUTION: An ansamycin-based derivative as isotrienomycin A represented by the formula 1 or 2 and the pharmaceutically acceptable salt are prepared by the steps of: culturing a strain or of Streptomyces sp. 91614 or the mutant thereof; extracting the biomass or culture solution thereof in an organic solvent and ethyl acetate sequentially; concentrating the ethyl acetate extract and subjecting it to chromatography; dissolving the concentrate in methanol and subjecting it to chromatography; and separating an active fraction by chromatography and freeze drying it after removing the solvent therefrom in a vacuum drier.
